Phony Marriage

Q. My daughter got caught trying to get immigration visa based on phony marriage. She returned to her home country for that and came back to the US on another phony paper. She is going to marry her US citizen boyfriend. Can she get her green card?

A. To get residence, your daughter needs two waivers for each phony papers. Since she will return to her home country for her immigrant visa interview, she may need a waiver of the reentry bar for people unlawfully here. Tell her to get a lawyer.
